Poetry Palooza invites you to attend its third annual FREE Poetry & Pie event on July 10 at Ding Darling Park Shelter. Indulge in a sweet hour (5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.) of LIVE poetry and delicious pies. The shelter is located at 2100 Savior Road, just north of the Birdland Marina in Des Moines.
Performing poets include: Dawn Terpstra, President of the Iowa Poetry Association; Lenny Bell, Founder of Say What Collective; Luke Scott Stringer, Pastor of Plymouth Congregational Church. The event will be emceed by Honorary Des Moines Poet Laureate Carmen Lampe Zeitler. The event is a casual and cultural event where guests mingle with celebrated poets, bakers, and like-minded lovers of poetry and pie.
